    Default Spring/Summer 2015 Exercise Thread

Here it is spring, the nice weather has come and it is now is the time to get back into an exercise routine whether it be at home, yoga shack, gym or outside. Post when you are able, try for once a week on what you did to stay fit! All you need is to be active for 20-30 minutes a day!

Tomorrow I will start back after March Break into my usual routine either going for long walks along the river or doing my Group Ride classes (Spin Class) at the gym which are awesome. I want to get back into Group Power too which is a class on weight training that is excellent.

    Happy Spring!
Today I ran 4.8 km. I am training to run 10km Forest City Road Race at the end of April.
Other than a couple sick days two weeks ago, training has been going well. I feel like my cardio is improving.

With the warmer weather coming and longer days, it will be easier to get outside and go for runs, rollerblade and bike rides.

This week I did my Group Ride classes as well as got back into Group Power (weight training) classes. I feel amazing and cannot wait to head back to the gym next week. My goal is to go 4x a week at lunch time. I really do love the classes as you get awesome music, meet great people and have a really good cool down/stretches.

I'm back here and ACTUALLY going to loose some weight for summer!
This week I'm back to tracking with myfitnesspal.com and have not been eating at all after 8pm which kinda snuck in really badly over the holidays and continued all winter. I've gotta get back to the Y.
This week I've been doing a bit of biking at home on the stationary bike (20mins a day) and went for a 40 minute good paced walk with my son today. I've also been painting a bunch since we've had a tenant move out and the apartment hadn't been touched in the four years she was there.
Of course this weekend isn't going to be good so I'm going to make sure I get some exercise in this weekend and continue with it next week.
In a couple weeks I'm starting a learn to run group. It is only $10 for the 10 weeks or whatever it is and I have a couple friends joining too which will be great. It is twice a week which is another plus.

I continue to go to the gym to Group Power and Group Ride as well as getting some walks in. Soon I will be cycling outdoors. I love my classes with great instructors that do an amazing job teaching the class. It is a short week as tomorrow is PD Day so DS1 and DS2 are off from school.

See you next week! Enjoy the lovely spring weather.

It was a busy week for me night and day so aside from spending my days painting I haven't gotten much done exercise wise. I have continued with not eating past 8pm though which is a big thing as that habit got in quickly and was hard to break!

I have done this week 2 Group Ride classes and 1 Group Power class and I am also doing another Group Ride class on Saturday. I would have gone to Group Power on Monday if I had not have to take my car in for servicing and to get my winter tires taken off. I am going to the gym 4x/week and feel amazing!

It is so great to have other LM's posting know that I need/want to go to the gym in order to post each week.

Feeling much better, not nearly as sore, down a pant size and feeling great! a few hiccups in my 30 minutes nightly work-outs but it's hard whe you have family over to work out infront of them. I also walk to and from work so the days I dont get to my workout I don't feel too guilty. Tonight is the 30 minute cardio fix...this is what killed my legs last week so lets hope my new muscles are getting stronger and used to being used!

How is everyone doing with their exercise routine?

I took a week off from the gym and did some hiking and went for a walk as I have family visiting.

I am totally out. My heart has been doing crazy things so for the last month I have had way too many appointments with specialists and can't be too active. I am on a beta-blocker and other meds for the last week which seem to be improving things but still not 100%. Today's appt. went well, I hope when I see the cardiologist again next Thursday I'll get a bit of a go-a-head. A side from a bit of biking and hiking (with nice breaks) I've been limited. Even gardening I can only do 10 mins at a time. It sucks because my motivation is totally there as my shorts don't fit and I'm not buying new ones but I can only do so much. I've been trying to watch what I eat and have continued to not snack at night, but I may have crashed earlier in the week and had half a chocolate bunny when I was totally stressed about my appt. the next day

Sardam, I feel for you and your health issues.

Today was awesome getting back to the gym as my relatives left last night. Our instructor for Group Ride worked us extra hard today and I feel amazing! Looking forward to Group Power tomorrow!
