Default How long did you bf for?

I'm just curious. Did you let your baby wean naturally? I'm just trying to see at what age do kids quit (I know its a huge age range between 2-7)

DD2 self weaned at 9 months. I was really sad. DD1 I weaned at a year but it was gradual and easy.

Did your daughter get formula or milk? My daughter gets boob or water only so I think she'll wean much later.

My oldest daughter weaned at 15-16 months. She ate solid food like a piggy once we introduced it to her.

My youngest daughter was different. I exclusively BF for 4 months, then pumped for 3 as I went back to work. After that, I dried up and she was on formula and solid food.

Oh dd eats as big as portions, sometimes bigger than I can. Sometimes I'm afraid she'll vomit she eats so much. Just growing I guess!

I weaned at 2.5 years. She would have happily kept going.

Ds was 9 months because I was going back to work and dd was just short of a year. I went back to school when she was 9 months and continued to bf evenings and weekends but she slowly weaned her self.

With DD1 she weaned herself at 9 months. I was sad but it was understandable b/c I was super stressed at the time and my supply plummeted.
With DD2 she was weaned at 19 months. I had just found out I was pg and I needed to go on Diclectin so I tried to make it a gradual thing over about a week. Once I had gone back to work after mat leave she had been only able to nursing in the morning, after daycare and before bed so I think it was better that it wasn't a huge shock to stop when we did.

Both my boys weaned themselves gradually around 17 months. I was prepared to nurse for longer but apparently they were done

I weaned DD1 off the breast at 20 months due to a medication I needed to take that was not compatible with breastfeeding - like really not compatible. She would have nursed much longer and even tried to continue nursing when her younger sister was born when she was 35mo. I found her on my breast more then once when I dozed off...

DD2 self weaned at 22mo, I was surprised how early that was. I was willing to go much longer. She was not drinking any other type of milk and still doesn't even now (other then a little on her cereal, but doesn't mind a little yogurt or cheese).

15-16 months for both... after going back to work I only nursed 3 times a day so I don't think I had a lot in there so they were fine once they weaned off.

My DD self-weaned at 2.5 years old a few months ago. I would have been happy to keep going. She asks to nurse once in a while. I miss it.

DS weaned at 7 months when I tried to introduce a bottle. He decided he liked that much better.
DD weaned at 10 months. I had to go away for a family emergency and didn't have much pumped. DH had to give her formula, she was ok with it. We decided since I had planned on weaning at 11 months before going back to work we would just go with the flow. She only tried to nurse once or twice when I got back.
