Default taking clomid even though i already ovulate

    Ladies:

I just wanted to see if anyone here has had experience with this. I ovulate on my own, fairly regularly, but was given clomid. Am going to take it next month, but just wondered if any of you have been in the same boat and what your results were? I believe the FS started me at 50, so the lowest dose. I have hope it will help me, but i am also worried it will mess up my cycle and make me ovulalte later or just mess me up in general...any stories to share ladies?

If you have this many questions I would not be asking the online world but going back to the doctor who prescribed you the meds. Clomid is no joke, it can and does create more eggs which can result in multiple births. In the lowest does I have 3 friends who ended up with more than 2 babies! Clomid is amazing in the fact it can help women become mom's, but it's something that should be taken with care, and when you are aware of all the risks. Yes it will affect when u ovulate, it will affect your luteal phase and it will affect the quality of eggs. The Dr should have gone over all this with you and should have told you how you can monitor when ovulation will occur so that you have the best chances of getting pregnant. If you have questions call the fertility clinic and ask, that's what they are there for, and if it was a gyno or family Dr who prescribed Clomid for you, make sure you are aware of the risks of having no monitoring while taking these meds (chance of cysts that require a break in treatment, multiple births, reactions to the meds)
