Awful. I can't imagine how that family would deal after this.

Sounds like that place is not exactly monitored. Is that normal for daycares? LIke it mentions that they also saw them picking infants up BY ONE ARM. PROPPING BOTTLES. Like wtf?! That poor family, poor baby. wow. Sad.

And this is exactly why it isn't going to matter if they change the rules around unlicensed day cares in Ontario. There are good and bad providers in both situations. What a horrible situation for that family to be going through.

Article says baby was trying to lift their head and wasn't burped before being laid on it's belly to sleep, so my guess is suffocation or drowning in their own spit up.

I can not imagine, I wish they wouldn't release details like that, those poor parents.

So awful, poor family. I think it's horrible that anyone has to leave their 4 month old in a daycare! I think it was in Florida and I did a quick search and found this...

    ooops,can't copy and paste!!?

I read that the state of Florida does not have a law that specifically requires employers to offer maternity leave! However, employers covered by the Pregnancy Descrimination Act must provide the same benefits to women "affected" by pregnancy that are provided to employees with temporary disabilities.

That's awful and seriously needs to be changed. It's my opinion that the baby should have been at home with it's mother.
