    Default Ultrasound

My daughter had her ultrasound. It was a slight disaster as she threw an epic tantrum and nursing would only work for a few seconds before she'd slap the tech away (i guess we forgot to tell her shes a baby and not 2).
the tech seemed miffed and said she hoped she got enough "good ones" and we'll find out in 4-5 days.

Omg. Hope she's ok. I don't know what that means.
Stop thinking you’re not ready. – Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow beyond our comfort zones, which means we won’t feel totally comfortable at first.

Hang in there, mama. Talk to the doctor. Don't panic yet (har har, that totally calmed you down, right?)

Apparently its common in children with large heads. Most people go undiagnosed. It runs in families. My understanding is because their bodies are immature, extra fluid NOT on the brain (like in true hydro) builds up a bit more. It resolves by 2/3? Some have a higher risk of a hematoma of the brain. Which can be very serious if they bump their heads. Dh is freaking out, wants to buy her a helmet. The ped says its totally nothing to worry about, that shes a healthy baby with a biggish head. Dh knows another ped thats hes "friends" with and hes going to run it by him too.So. I'm not worried and I am worried. I'll probably worry forever.
