    Default Dull Knives

What do you do with dull knives? Is there a way to sharpen them? We have really nice knives that are now 11 years old and they are starting to suck.

We have two different knife sharpeners - one is basically a steel rod with a handle, and the other has ceramic disks that you pull the knife through (got it at Lee Valley). Between the two we manage to keep our knives in decent if not great shape. I think it's possible to get them sharpened professionally but I'm not sure where. Kingsmill recently had a free sharpening event for Henckels knives so perhaps they could give you some advice.

    I sharpen mine quite often.
When they get really bad I take them to a place that sharpens them for me.
This is where I take them...

I used to c a truck that went around the neighbourhoods and u could get your knives and such sharpened thru him.

I think there is a place in Whiteoaks mall that sells appliances and razors and such. It is in the same wing as the Body Shop right by the Bell. They used to do knife sharpening there.

I just checked the mall website and it is called Personal Edge. You could call and check first to see if they do it. 519 681 0990

There is a truck that comes around my neighbourhood too, but I'm always a little nervous to try that. I did that once (not in London, so could be a totally different experience), and my two $50 chef knives ended up looking a little mutilated.

You can also take them to the Hendrix store for sharpening.

I have a knife sharpener, the kind that you pull the knives through. Put it on your Christmas list! We need new steak knives, I think there is no way to sharpen those??
