    Default Dance classes for DD

DD1 (8) is starting to think more about joining some sort of dance class. I think that she would enjoy a more contemporary type of class as opposed to something more traditional like ballet, etc. She is very creative and expressive with her body and enjoys mimicking different pop stars moves (i.e. Justin Bieber, etc) as well as making up her own. I think that she would love it.

Does anyone have their kids in something that she might like? The dance realm is a little foreign to me as I never really took any type of dance growing up.

    TIA.

Stop thinking you’re not ready. – Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow beyond our comfort zones, which means we won’t feel totally comfortable at first.

Any suggestions for North East London? I'm wondering about theatre too.

We just started at sound in motion (on Glenora Dr.). Great little studio. Its very small, only two small dance studios but very personal. I really like it so far.

My DD goes to Kilworth Absolute Dance. Amazing price, great teachers and a lot of variety. We are going to put her in Acro when she is older. They have hip hop, ballet, jazz, acro etc...

My DD has been at Dance Extreme for going on 7 years and LOVES it. There's a great variety of classes for all ages. I highly recommend it. There is a year end performance at the Grand Theatre with costumes and everything - it's really well run and put on!
