    Default Baptism for my 2yo

My son in being baptized in November (I know it is late as he is 2). My husband's family is catholic but my family is not. He is obviously not going to wear the standard gown as he is too big - but should he wear an all white suit? is that too much? or is a formal outfit in another colour suitable?

    Thanks in advance.

My son was baptized at 5, he wore a white shirt and khaki pants (it was June). I don't think your DS needs a white suit by any means. Maybe a white shirt and nice black pants or something? I wouldn't go too fancy or formal.

It is what ever you want it to be. You can set the tone yourself.

when my 2 month old was being baptised we had another family with an older child there. the other little boy wore a suit, one like you can get atsears for christmas or easter. He looked cute and it was appropriate. Adults who are joining the catholic church usually just wear a formal outfit for their baptism, I cant see why colour really matters?

Do what you want to do. When my DDs where baptized there where children between newborn and 6 years old. The way the children where dressed was equally as diverse. My DDs wore a simple white summer dress that I got at Joe Fresh at the Superstore for $11. The older boys had suits, or khakis and button down shirts. Do what you want, don't worry too much about it. I think a nice pair of pants, button down and maybe a sweater vest? I think that would be cute and appropriate.
