Ok so I'm here now! Not sure if you can see this fbook pic but I'll try posting:
    https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.ph...type=1&theater
We announced our pregnancy with Christmas cards, DH's parents were the first to find out on Christmas Day. We told my family the next day at our family Christmas a couple of hrs away. The rest of DH's family found out on the 28th at another dinner. Everyone is surprised including us, lol. We had considered being done in the summer b/c things were going so smoothly with the kids and DH and I had really reconnected (not that things were bad before but we just felt that there were distractions and distance at times prior to that). Then DH started college in Sept. and after a bit we started talking about maybe having one more. We thought that trying in a year would a good, the 4 yr age gap was a bit bigger than we thought it might be at first. Anyway, nope, surprises happen and shortly after Thanksgiving I thought that I should take a test. Then had a bit of a meltdown b/c I had zero pregnancy symptoms and having had 2 prior m/c's I was worried about that. But at my dating u/s at 7.5 weeks there was a fetal pole and heartbeat and all looks well (and only 1 baby, lol). Sorry for the novel, but I'm glad to finally be able to share!

Due date is July 20th, so yeah I guess it was actually Nov when we found out. I got confirmation that I have a midwife the other day! Karen from Thames Valley midwives. I've only had a family dr and an OB before and I think that this will be a welcome change. Both of my deliveries were natural and I really wanted minimal medical intervention. Looking forward to the experience!

Congrats to both of you mamas. SpringChicks, you're going to love having a midwife this time around from the sounds of your previous births. Wishing both of you well.
