    Default Working Moms get-together

    Hi Everyone,

I thought I'd just get a feel if there is any interest in getting together either on an early evening or Saturday once a month or so for working moms who can't get together with other moms during the day. I enjoyed going to playgroups during mat. leave, but now that I'm back at work, I do miss the connection.

What do others think? Could we do this a moms only or with our kids? I'm flexible either way. Plus, with the nice weather, we can even meet at a park before it gets too dark or even at a library where a room can be book.

I'd be interested, went for a Mom's William's Coffee night couple weeks ago. That was nice! Kids or no kids, I'm flexible, if it's during the day/early evening bringing the kids is probably easier.

Once a month is definatey do-able. I'll keep an eye on the thread...

I'd love to. I love the idea of parks in this weather, I try to make evening park trips anyway to avoid the hot sun during the day (on weekends for example).

We could make a Gibbons Park trip soon?

    I love this idea!

Even with kids maybe a few times as I feel soo bad that Alysa is missing out on all the play dates that get set up during the week days

I think Gibbons Park would be a good idea and I don't mind bringing my one-year old with me. She does miss out on her playgroup now so making new friends would be a bonus.

I think this is a great idea! I like the park idea too. Please keep me posted if you do end up planning something. Something with kids would be fun.

Hi: I'm interested but since my daughter is six, I'd prefer something without the kids as she is into much different things than the younger kids!

I'd love to get together at Gibbons Park in the early evening or weekend. No problem bringing the kidlets, they'd have a great time. Let me know what works for everyone else. We're open most nights as long as its before 8 and after 5 or pretty much any time on the weekend. Well off to work I go!

I'd be interested. Summer sports are starting though so not as available, but I'll keep an eye on the date set and come if I can.

Is anyone free next week for around 6:30 or 7 pm at Gibbons Park? We can meet at the splash pad near the Grosvenor Entrance.

Any day is good for me but May 1st is my DH's bday.

6:30 is a bit late to start for us as my little one goes to bed at 7/7:15, but I could always go earlier and chat for a couple minutes before we leave. I don't mind doing that, I know everyone's schedule is going to vary.

I was also thinking a little earlier like 5:30-6??? Anyday this week or next week except thursday is great.

Sounds good to me, just let me know the day before so I can get my dh to make dinner, get the kids fed before we head out. We're good for any night as far as I know. 6 sounds good to me, give me time to get the kids fed and get there (I get home about 5 or so) and any night too, guess we could aim for Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri since Haileysmama can't make it Thurs. Let me know!
