We had tonnes of fun last year! We're out of town that weekend so can't make it. I'm going to miss it

I'll talk to DF and see how he feels about going!

We would likely bring the dog, would that be an issue for anyone? I don't like leaving him pent up in the crate at home if I don't have to, and I refuse to leave him in the car.

What kind of pot luck things would be needed? Would it be rude if our family skipped out and just brought our own little picnic?

That's our anniversary. Not sure I'll be successful in convincing DH that we should spend it at the LM picnic.

Did not notice the dog bit... we have never had them there before. To be honest, it would be best to not bring the dog as I am sure there are children who are scared etc... of dogs.

My son was attacked by a dog two years ago resulting in a hospital visit and stitches very close to his eye. He's not comfortable aroung strange dogs. My daughter on the other hand has no fear around dogs and would likely hurt the dog by accident because she doesn't understand. We would have to ask that you not bring your dog to the picnic. The kids are used to running around freely while the adults visit and I know I wouldn't be able to do that if I had to constantly redirect my daughter away from your dog. Thanks!

We have a family commitment that day so I'm not sure we'll be able to make it but just wanted to say that my dd1 would be terribly afraid of a dog at the picnic. Sorry.

I feel like I'm conspicuously ignoring the sign-up thread.. I have enthusiasm to go, but my schedule is really complicated this summer and I'm waiting until nearer the time.

So, what to bring? I'm a bit food dumb.

I could do a big veggie tray with a couple dips. ?
