Default Good sun hats for toddlers

I'm in search of a really good sun hat for my 16 month old and wondered if anyone had found something similar..

I need it to give some neck protection at the back, and I need it to strap on.

He's soooo fair, and I want to cover him up where possible as he seems to react to sun cream.

    Any help appreciated.

There were some at TAG by Gagou Tagou that seemed to be what you are looking for. Not sure if the store is still open though

It is open. Was just there yesterday. They had hats, not sure if they're the ones OP is looking for though.

Check out Petal Babies. They are online and will also be at the LM's sale!

It's funny you posted this. I just went to Bonnie Togs today looking for a hat for my 18 month old daughter. She needed a 2T one and those did not have straps. There is no way I can buy her a hat without a strap! I'm going to try Tag!
    Thanks!

I always got DS1 and DS2 ones from MEC - Mountain Equipment Co-op. I used to order online until the new store came out last November.

A few years ago I got a good one at Cheeky Monkey. UV protective fabric with a velcro chin strap. I can't remember how much it was...wasn't too pricey, I don't think. It's lasted well, too, through 2 kids (will use it for 3rd, if it's another girl...) My sister likes Sun Hats and Sun Protective Clothing at Sunday Afternoons for her family. I haven't tried them, but they look nice.

Thanks ladies. I'll check these out.

I might have to check out Cheeky Monkey since he needs shoes anyway and it's nice to try hats on where possible - he has a big head! Family trait.

Bummis do a swim hat that has good coverage, but no strap. I *know* he's going to keep whipping it off..

Wish I could be at the sale tomorrow, but not sure I'm able to.

Joe and Gap may be a few other places to try as I've had hats from both that my son tolerated.

I like my DD's Sunday Afternoons hat. I bought the Kids Play Hat and it's long at the back with a strap too. It's not the cutest thing, but it's really practical and I don't have to worry about her getting a sunburn on her face or neck. I bought it online.

Not sure if you like the styles here but these are excellent for sun protection.

Gymbo! Our guy is fair as well, and I found that the Gymbo bucket hats have nice wide brims. I may have some for sale if you're looking.

i second the gybo hats worked great for my 18month old...i did find what i would call a swim hat at tag last week for a girl wasn't too many left was in the swim section that might work to cover the neck if you don't like the brims on the bucket hats at gymbo....

Thanks, but I suspect any your little one has outgrown won't fit my big-headed boy.

I ordered an iPlay sun cap that will be good for swimming, so hopefully that arrives soon!

Thank you for all the ideas, I will likely pick up something else too.

It's crazy how strong the sun has been lately.

We bought these sun hats through a group co-op order on Londonmoms! The head size adjusts, are very sturdy. I think there is a store in Wortley that sells them.
