Default Best riding toy for this age?

Babydd is almost 18 months (first time I've 'said' that) and anyway, she rides the vtech train toy indoors, and *can* ride the scooter/rideon convertible toy thingy we have but it's old, wheels are pretty slow. It's kind of low, too, for her.
So, what riding toy did you find your children liked at this age?
I don't know that my other two rode riding toys this young, or if they did, it was just the cozy coupes, which we have, but she has no interest in yet.
I think she wants riding toys that are more similar to the big kids' things, like they aren't stuck IN a toy, they're on them, right?
I am interested in new stuff in stores now, or older items, I can search for on kijiji. just want input so I don't waste money.

I found you really have to try them for fit. Anything with steering is great longer term but they can be more difficult to find. Garage sales will start soon and you should have luck here.

    little tykes cozy coupe car.
I think she was around 18 months when we got her the car.

The car has a removable floor which is great because now at 2.5 years she can do it on her own.

I think in the long term it's better value for money

We had a Wheely Bug for inside and a Cozy Coupe car for outside at that age. Both are still in use today.

The red metal tricycle!!! DS just turned 2 and my parents got him one. He tries using the pedals sometimes now, but by the end of last summer he was 18 months and loved stealing the neighbours to ride around on, he just used his feet and not the peddals.
It is a great investment for an 18 month old to grow into over the spring /summer

We have a plastic trike with no pedals so they can just push with their feet and all of my guys loved it at that age!

Hmm my sister has a wooden John Deere toy that is similar to atrike without pedals, I will ask her if I can borrow it to judge the fit and style. Thanks!

If budget is not an issue, I can't say enough about this company:

Mini Micro 3in1 in Blue (scooter complete with accessory) [mm0088] : Kickboard USA, Kickboards, Kick Scooters, Kids Scooters, Childrens Scooters, 3-Wheel Scooters | Kick® Scooters by Micro®

We have three Kickboard scooters, and they are the absolute best. We get stopped at the park all the time.
These 3-in-1's didn't exist when my kids were this young, but we do have a micro (without the seat) that my son started using at age two.
