Default Employment income and income tax deducted

I am having a major issue with numbers

Our income is say 68000 income tax deducted is say 13000 so if minus both should our net be something like 55000. When I put all our numbers into the tax program it recalculates it to only something like 66000for our line 236 as net. Which only ends up being 2000 less that gross income.... What am I doing wrong ?

    Hi there -

I'm not really following your question. Your NET income is the gross less deductions like RRSP contributions or daycare costs etc.

The tax withheld doesn't reduce your gross income or net income .... It's just really what you prepaid against the tax you owe for the year.
