Default I start school full time on Monday and I am so nervous

I start at westervelt on Monday in the medical admin program. I am so nervous. Not sure how I am going to handle school with two young kids. Westervelt said I can expect two hours or more of work a night. How am I going to do that. My dh is amazing and has said he will do everything around the house cooking, cleaning and laundry but I still need to give some time to my kids. They are going to my inlaws two days a week and a new daycare the other days. I also have a learning disability. The next year is going to be stressful and crazy but worth it in the end I hope. Anyways mostly just a nervous vent. People say I am crazy for doing this right now with two young kids but with mat leave almost over I don't have a job to go back to so it seems like the right time to do it. Wish me luck please tell me this is doable.

I went back to school full time when my DS1 was about 15 months old. I was also working Mon-Thurs evenings from 4-9. It is definitely doable but you will have to let go of a lot of stuff at home. DH and I made sure dishes and laundry were done, DS was clean and fed and the pets were fed and walked, that was it. If we had any extra time (not often) it was spent with DS. It was tough but totally worth it and is now just a memory

Good luck! And we are always here if you need a little break from studying!

Any free time I have will go to spending time with the kids for sure. For this term I am done school at 1pm so I plan on going home and trying to get my work done to leave most of the weekend free for family time. Dh is very supportive and is a little bit of a clean freak so he doesn't mind doing most of the housework so that helps.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll do great! I found that going to school f/t with a kid was a difficult transition at first, but it also helped me with my time mang't. It sounds like your DH is on board which is a great thing, I could never have done grad school without DH pulling more of his weight with DD1 and household duties.

Thank you everyone. My first day today and everyone in my house is sick including me. Lucky me.
