    Default Part-time daycare?

We're looking for part-time daycare for our son beginning in March or April but can't seem to find anything that doesn't close in the summer. I'd love any suggestion. We're in the south end, so something near there or even downtown would work. We'd ideally like to do all mornings as opposed to 2-3 full days. We have toured Cavalry Nursery on Ridout and liked it but they close in the summer and it's only 2 mornings a week. We're looking at enrolling him in waldorf or montessori come september so I'd like to just be able to stick with one place straight through the summer as opposed to putting him in 3 places - one now, one for the summer, new one in september...
    Thanks!

Have you looked into home daycares or just centre based care?
are you looking for just the summer for care?

We've looked into both. We found one home we liked but she doesn't operate in the summer so that's kind of the same situation... We're looking for something starting in the next month or so until September, so throughout the summer. If need be, we'll put him somewhere now until the summer but will still need a summer plan...

Try Western Day Care on Emery St.
They're fabulous, operate year-round, and offer part-time care (-though I'm not sure about full day vs half-day -- you would need to check on that).

Growing Concern Daycare on Hill St. is AMAZING and they take part time and flex care kids. My son goes there part-time

The places you mentioned are nursery school (Cavalry) or schools (ie. Montesorri) that is why they tend to close in the summer. You will need to look at traditional daycares or home care. I would call the Montesorri program you are considering and ask them about their summer programs. Not all Montesorri's close in the summer, some have different summer programs. How old is your child? There are Spectrum programs as well, I think it is called Little Sprouts, and Ready Set Learn they may only be 2 mornings a week though.

There are home daycares that have a montessori approach as well. If you check out my siggy link & post what you are looking for on my childcare group you will likely find what you are looking for
