Default Late Period - negative test

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? My cycle is usually 33 days so I ovulate around day 17. My period is now 3 days late and I tested this morning and it was negative. Is it possible it is still to early to tell?

I had this issue before. If you just had your baby or just stopped nursing your body could still be adjusting.... if you are concerned still, I would take another test in a week.

I have had this happen a couple times and it usually ended up being stress related as the reason why I was late. Like Nicole said, if it still hasn't come in a week, test again.

I would take a second test, you can get false negatives. I had one when I was pregnant with my dd, took the test, it was negative, took another test 2 weeks later because I felt pregnant and it was positive, turns out I was pregnant the whole time.

When I was pregnant with Ali, it took me two weeks after my expected period to get a positive, and then it was only very faint. My Dr said it was because I ovulated later than normal, or something like that.
But then I have also completely skipped periods for no apparent reason.

If it doesn't arrive in a week take another test. Or just head to your Dr's for a blood test. That way you should be able to find out definately either way.

Yes, I too had a false negative. I used the First Response test and didn't get a positive for a week past my period being due. If heard of many people getting false negatives. Everyones hormones are different...try in a few days.

Even if your cycle is very regular you can always have a cycle that is off ---usually every few months instead of Ovulating on CD 14 or 15 I O on CD 19-21 which pushes my period back a week....I get really bad O pains so I always know the exact day I'm O'ing & normally if you can tell that your period will show about 14 days after your O date...I'd say if you don't get your period in a week test agin! Good Luck!

I tested a week late with Robbie and got a negative after two minutes...Went in the shower and then came out and the test was positive...Guess my HCG levels are week...Give it a few more days then test again.
