    Default Soccer registration

We'd like to register DS for a soccer team the spring. Can anybody tell me when sign-ups begin. I think I read around March Break. Is NorWest the league that my son would go in? He's only ever played with us. But he says he wants to be a team now!

I'm not sure the league but many of the leagues have started sign up already. Oakridge has one more day left of theirs. they've already done 3 different sign up nights. They often fill up fast so don't hesitate to check it out!

East London has one more day for sign up tomorrow. They play on a field near Highbury and Hamilton.

Kensal Park has a north and south field, and I signed my dd up this week. I believe that registration for the Lambeth league starts this weekend.

Southend Soccer has online registration. Usually 4year olds play Saturday mornings at the Dearness Home fields.

I can not speak for south end, but generally speaking there are a few advantages to a league over spectrum (if we are talking the city run spectrum clas and not the one that just directs you to a club ). With a league/club you usually get a uniform and a photo done. You also usually get a wrap up party type day. Either by way of a tournament or a fun day. Also with a league/club you usually have parents who are volunteering as the coaches and spectrum is usually teenagers paid for their job. Now I am not bashing teens at all here, I just have had better experience with my child engaging and learning in the club setting with parent coaches, but she may just respond better to parent coaches Most clubs are very reasonable for soccer. I know my 4 year old only paid $55 to play east london and it has his uniform, a soccer ball, a team and individual photo, plus a fun day. That is a lot I think. And DD who will be 9 was only $90 and she gets all that but also plays 2 times a week. We register with East London Soccer Club every year. Their last in person sign up was yesturday but if you emailed them you could likely still get in if you sent your registration by mail ASAP

Ah yes my DS was born in 2009 so he is still U4. My DD is 2004 so she falls under U10.

They play on the field at St. Julien Park ... which is sort of close to Higbury and Hamilton (there is a McD's there)
