    Default Gold jewellery repair shops

Can anyone pass along a reccommendation for a gold jewellery repair shop that does great work at a fantastic price?

    TIA

I always take my jewelry to Dan's in Masonville(lower level near the theatre). He has always done a great job, for a reasonable price and fairly quick.

I don't know what competitive prices are, but I have taken my repairs/recreations to Nash's North and love them. Colin does incredible work.

Nash's did mine... although your son is still young - you may want to wait until your body stops 'shrinking' before you resize rings!

I also recomend Nash's. My Cousin Kip is one of the Gold Smith's there, and I know he is awesome.

I've used Diamani's downtown on clarence. He's awesome, he sized my engagement ring the same day and is currently working on my wedding band.

Depending on how big you need to make the ring will obviously reflect in the price. To go up a size or 2 it usually costs me $35-40ish. And if you have shopping to do they can usually have it done within a hour or two.

Depending on where he got your ring, they sometimes include sizing, I know that when I worked at Peoples/Mappins, if the person buying the ring didn't know the size that was fine, we would size it (up to 2 sizes) at no additional charge. Also, depending on where he bought it, they sometimes sell additional protection on the ring and again from Peoples/Mappins, this includes sizing for 2 years.

That's what I was going to say - my engagement ring was from Nash's so I'm pretty sure it was free?? My wedding ring was inherited, so I had some work done to it in addition to resizing - I don't know what costed what.
