Default What to make for teenage boys?

I've committed to making each of my children a gift this Christmas, but I confess making something for 17yd and 13yd boys is daunting. Any recommendations?

    What are they into?

If they like guitars, maybe a custom guitar strap. Art for their walls? Giant tin of cookies.

I tied fleece blanket? I made one last year for one DS and the other, who loves football got a sewn one. It had football fabric on one side and fabric that looks like turf on the other. Both are just the right size for their twin beds. I use 2 metres x 2 different fabrics for the tied ones. To make it easier, fabricland who has a 50% members only sale right now, has a tool that you use to make a slit in the tie and pull both pieces through and you don't even have to tie.

I don't know what your talents are, but here's a few ideas:

shelf for something specific to them, like trophies, or
    collection of something

coupon book! what do they do thatgets on your nerves or what do you have to remind them of constantly, or so on. Like say for example, “One get out of trouble free coupon for (leaving your dirty socks on the couch again!/not making your bed)“ or so on. Or, stuff like “Good for one negotiation on your allowance/curfew/videogame limits for one week“

over the door organizer. Like those things that hang over the door and have pockets for their stuff to go in? The teen that lived here before us had one. My kids had a ball going through all the junk they left behind.

can you buy part of it? Like buy a frame, and decorate it and put a picture in it they'd like like a favourite band or something? Or a mirror, same idea?

    hmmmmm
