How about glueing rainbow coloured streamers or tissue paper to a white plastic table cloth? It may not be as pretty... but the price is right and you could do it yourself!!!

Cost is what I was wondering about, that's why I was asking how big it would have to be.
I mean I could likely make it for you, but by the time you buy enough material to go around the table, and then enough of each colour to make the strips that would equal 2-3x the length, it's going to be expensive.

ahh i forgot how big the table is but its a dinning room table that has 6 chairs and can easily fit more on either side.

    probabaly be too expensive then.

what about if i buy a table clothing, and somone just adds on the colours to the sides? still expensive?

So you would just want the ruffles down each side of a table cloth that would be on the table? Do-able, but a little more finiky since the ruffles would have to be that much smaller.

Or were you thinking of using a table cloth as the backing to sew the ruffles to and still having it go around the table? In which case it would just be a matter of pricing plain white cotton fabric vs a table cloth to see which would be less expensive.

As for the strips of colours you would want to measure around the table, multiply by 2.5 to have enough to make nice ruffles, divide by 8, I'm assuming that you could get 8 strips out of 1 meter thats 42“ wide. So my table is 56“ x 42“, I would want approx 2 meters of each colour.

So yeah that would add up pretty quick, last time I bought cotton, it was approx $4/meter, 2 meters x 8 colours x $4 = $64. That's just for the strips.

Why not do something like this (scroll down the bottom): Homemade Happiness: Rainbow Art Party - Part One
    use different coloured tablecloths

also, when I see that pic it looks to me like streamers. you could wrap streamers around or pin them to the top of a tablecloth and they could dangle (like a hula skirt).

It could be done for around $10-20, easily
