Default HS in White Oaks area

My step daughter is now living with us full time and will be going to HS here. She wants to go to Westminster, I wanted her to go to RMC. Which other school would she be able to attend. What about London South collegiate institute, is that private ?

I live right by Laurier, and thats where I went. Majority of us were from Westminster park and white oaks. They have a really good French and Music program.

Westminster is out of area for her (Baseline Rd). You could google to see what in your area...?

Here is the link to the boundaries. You will have to call the school to confirm. Looks like Westminster is zoned for some of White Oaks.

Laurier has a French Immersion program....any student south of the Thames river can go there for that program if she speaks French. South is not a private school.

South isn't private, smaller school and a bit cliquey compared to bigger schools. Close to downtown, so that's where I spent a lot of time as a teen. Not the best idea looking back...

Westminister gets a lot of busses from White Oaks, depends on what part of White Oaks you're in.

Westminster is one of the schools serving the White Oaks area. All of the students who currently attend White Oaks Public School have the option of attending Westminster.

We live in the White Oaks area and I have a son in grade 12, he goes to Westminster and the boy acrosss the street goes to Laurier. Westminster has busses and so does RMC if they go to Laurier they have to take the city bus

There are technically no boundaries for the high schools for out of area boundaries, as long as you write a letter requesting to go to that school and agree that you must provide your own transportation you should be okay. Keep in mind tho that some schools will not take an out of area student if there are black marks on thier elementary school record due to discipline issues etc.

So ALL kids who don't live within walking distance to Laurier have to take a city bus to get there? We also live in White Oaks & this is likely the HS both of my sons will attend if they continue on in HS in the French immersion program. I just assumed there was a school bus that would pick kids in White Oaks up who attend there for FI? Wow!
Also, off topic but do you or anyone else on here know if any of the catholic High-schools offer the FI program or would one have to attend a public HS for that?

RMC or Westminster are your choices.
Laurier doesn't bus from white oaks so you'll have to drive him or he'll take the city bus. Another option would be Beal but that will also be a city bus school.

I'm pretty sure that depending on where you are in White Oaks that the FI kids automatically get a bus. I believe that if you are close to the mall tho they would have to take the city bus to school, mind you its only one bus that you catch at the bank doors and it takes you straight there.
