    Default i dis-like the 24 hr edit.

    I dislike it.
I have several posts for example the book club post. I like to update the first /initial post with information so its not hard to find amoungst the pages and pages.

also like to update titles of large events with notice of *updates in post # ...
it helps people to follow a post.

also like to be able to go back and edit out names etc. at a later time.
don't see how limiting the ability to edit is helpful at all personally. perhaps this can be re-thought...? maybe even just moved out to 48 hours?

Also on Garage Sale posts it would be helpful to be able to edit longer too!

I agree - is there a way to just allow the original poster of the thread to edit longer??

I will mention it. It's not uncommon on a number of different forums. It was brought in to reduce drama deletions.

If anyone ever wants something deleted, let a mod know. Any sensitive info we're happy to take out.

You can't edit a thread title? On the page that lists all the threads you double click in the box that contains the title? I change titles and fix spelling often. I assumed everyone could change their titles. Someone want to check?

if i click it, it opened the post. am i doing this wrong maybe?
the only way i know how to change the title is to edit the 1st post in the thread and go advanced it allows changes there.

Hmmm. Don't click on the words, double click in the box. That's how I edit thread titles. Advanced doesn't like me.
