I got this one from Aunt Petunia.
Yesterday we put a bunch of small toys in tupperware, filled with water, and froze.
Today they will get forks or something and chisel their toys out of the ice block.

Stop thinking you’re not ready. – Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow beyond our comfort zones, which means we won’t feel totally comfortable at first.

I was thinking maybe they would help me start the babies room (which would involve moving toys and cleaning, since its currently a playroom) but that doesnt sound like fun to them at all.

Pressed flowers, then using the flowers for art, cards, banners, etc. Lee Valley has a good microwave flower press which speeds up the process!
Today we made a count down to school with events on it in a banner style. (we each made one). I made a bigger one and we've started writing something we did each day on it so at the end of the summer we have a nifty little booklet of what we did. I left space on the back to hopefully add a pic from each day![]()

Make a huge pot of spaghetti, put it in a bin and let them play with it.
Give roll of toilet paper. Let them make dresses out of it.

Sprinkle ice cubes with glitter and oil. drop in bowls of water and see what happens.
Texture rubbing with crayons outside.
Make a mold garden
Do an organic vs sprayed experiment (see how they break down)

I'm totally watching this thread!! I'm home for the summer with the kids this year (YAY!!!), so will need fun stuff to do.
I did this with my kids a little while ago and they thought it was the coolest thing (once they got over thinking I was nuts lol). it only takes a few minutes, but they'll play with it for quite a while after lol! (take it outside though or to the bathtub - it flakes apart and is quite messy)
