    Default Day 43

Yep Day 43 technically and no AF...not pregnant though.

I did get tested and they said because I was on Lupron for three months (which put me in a menopause state for 3 months...so no AF) it may take longer....I could go on birth control for 10 days to bring on my period but I don't know I suppose it will eventually come on its own right?

Plus the extra time does give me time to save up money considering our next two months of treatments are going to cost $1400 and I have only $400 saved for this.

Why does having a baby have to be so hard.

I'm still debating on forgoing the treatments and waiting for a while till I can afford to do IVF but I keep thinking but what if the cheaper alternatives work I don't exactly have 10K laying around you know what I mean.

I really do hate this journey, why can't I just get pregnant the old fashioned way

    ((hugs))

I would give it one more try and then save for IVF if it were me. I don't know how you feel though and I can only imagine how frustrating it is.

You've gone through a number of rounds of IUI right? I would hold off and save for the IVF. Someone very close to me opted to go this route, and it was almost as much a diagnostic tool as an attempt at getting pregnant. It's a huge financial leap, but so is repeatedly doing IUI.

We've been with the clinic for 2 years...I've had
    - 3 laprosotic surgeries
    - 2 tubal dye tests
    - numerous rounds of clomid (50mg, 100mg, 150mg)
    - numerous rounds of femara
    - numerous rounds of clomid with femara
    - 3 months on lupron
    - 7 failed IUI's

They want to try clomid with injectables which is why the cost is so much...I'm so afraid of jumping to IVF despite the financial costs is the bigger worry about what if IVF doesn't work then what am I meant to spend my life childless

I am sorry you are going through all this. I went through something simialar but it did work in the end. I am not sure what clinic you are at but at SOFT they told me after 6 failed IUI's the chance of it working are small. I think I would try one more time with the injections and ask them to be aggressive with the dosage and then save for IVF. Good luck, I will be sending you lots of postive thoughts

I'm sorry this is so difficult for you.
It's stories like yours that just make my heart ache..
Have you thought about surrogacy? Adoption?
I wish there was something I could do to help you

We cannot afford surrogacy it is even more expensive then IVF

Adoption is a possibility but not right now as I'm not in that frame of mind at this point of my life to give up yet completely.

My heart really goes out to you. I can relate. I go to SOFT and they also told me after 6 failed iui cycles that ivf would be the best route. When was your last iui? do you produce many mature follicles? If you havent tried iui in a couple months, I would give it one more go then try ivf. I know what you mean about the 'what ifs' if you dont give another iui a go. Wishing you lots of luck!

How many mature follicles do you usually get? Yes, after 6 iui's your chances decrease, but it's not impossible and I have seen many successful pregnancies after 6 iui's.
