    Default Buying fabric online advice

Just wondering if I could get some advice for buying fabric online. I always just go to fabricland or lensmills and would really like to start shopping online, they have so much more selection!!
    Is it worth it ($)
    What are your trusted sites
Buy from US, is duty worth it??

I think I'm just nervous about buying online, I don't do it very often!!

    Thanks!!

My friend buys online all the time. Hmmm what is the place called? Oh yes, connecting threads. I will google it.
I need a place with Star Wars fabric and connecting threads doesn't have it.

If you ever go to the states, you NEED to go to Joann:

    fabric* : Shop | Joann.com

I buy a lot online from the US and get it shipped to the bluewater shipping depot, where I can pick it up for $5.00 when I do my shopping

    I buy off etsy too.

I ship to SCC shipping depot in Port Huron. You just send it in your name to their address, and email them to let them know its coming. They email you to tell you its arrived. You pick up at your leisure. It costs $5/package.

Thats the same as the shipping depot. You tell them something is coming and they email you when it arrives.

...you can search under Supplies for fabric etc on Etsy. There are some great fabric shops on there, designer fabrics that you just can't get for a reasonable price here. Have fun!

I used to buy a lot of fabric online and one of the best ways to do it is to join a fabric buying co-op on yahoo groups. There's a bunch of sewers and they buy bolts and bolts of fabric as a group and you put down how many yards or meters you want. You can get really beautiful designer fabrics for half the price that you would pay from a regular store. Watch out though. It can turn into a major addiction.
