Default What to do with old comforters?

Replaced the kids blankets this week. What to do with the old ones?

DD1 had a few nosebleeds on the one. So it looks gross. And DD2's has some stains on it too. They're too bulky to keep in the car for picnic blankets. And if I keep them I would need to cut out the stains.

    Any ideas?

Donate to an animal shelter? I understand they are often looking for blankets for the kennels. Or maybe a vet's office, for the same purpose?

I would happily take them off your hands for my lil miss (dog lol). She is NOTORIOUS for chewing up her blankets in her crate, so I hate spending money on her blankets! So if you want them to have a somewhat good home, lol - she'll be very grateful, let me know! PM me!

I've never thought of donating to animal shelter - but I will definitely keep it in mind!! What a great suggestion.

Do you knit? Somewhere I found a great pattern where you knit, with giant needles, a huge ball and then stuff a comforter in it. Sort of like a bean bag chair.

Yep I was going to say animal group as well. If both aren't taken I'll take the other one for ARF.

Carsonsmom picks up today. If they're not gone this week they're yours Geo.
