Arrow Free Glasses for kids aged 4-10!

I was sent this by a colleague who works for TVDSB. Apparently it was sent to all teachers.

The store on Gammage in London has an Optical Center and is offering this. The key is to have an updated eye exam.

    Seeing is Believing:
Loblaw wants to do its part to help make sure our youngest generation of Canadians is seeing their best. As part of a new initiative, Loblaw Optical will be offering free eyeglasses for children ages 4-10 throughout the month of September – just in time for back to school!

The program was inspired by recent Ontario legislation that promised to provide free eyeglasses to children entering Junior Kindergarten. Loblaw Optical decided to take it two steps further by launching their own program nationally, and opening up the age bracket so that more children in need of glasses would be eligible.

Children can choose their free glasses from our selection of $19 or $29 frames (that come with polycarbonate scratch-resistant kid-safe lenses) which are available in a variety of sizes, colours and shapes. All that’s required is an eye exam within the last 90 days – a service Loblaw Opticians can also provide.

This offer is available this September at 95 select store locations across the country in such banners as: Atlantic Superstore®, Loblaws®, Loblaw greatfood™, Real Canadian SuperstoreTM, Independent Your Independent GrocerTM and Zehrs Markets®. Also available in select Dominion stores in Newfoundland. If you’re interested in finding a store with an Optical location near you, visit their banner websites and click on ‘My Store’ to see if the store closest to you has an Optical department.

I wonder if my dd's ridiculously high prescription will qualify...She desperately needs a new pair, as well as a spare!
    Thanks!

I called the Wonderland South Loblaws and they have an optical department, too.
