    Default End of Summer

Sooo... Did you do everything you planned to do? Do anything fabulous? Absolutely nothing?

I had this list on my fridge of things I wanted to do with each kid and do for myself before, well, tomorrow. Things like teach them letters, numbers, body parts, get 12 credits... I did absolutely zero on my list. Two days ago, I sat down and taught DD1 to count to 100 and tested to see if she knew her LC letters. She did. Lesson over. Ah. Good thing they're going back to school.

Otherwise though, we had so much fun! I LOVE being off with them in the summer! Did a ton of home reno's, had a fantastic holiday away, playdates, day trips, Storybook, and all kinds of fun.

This summer FLEW by. Really. I have no idea what happened to August!? We went to Marineland and Niagara Falls and it was a fantastic trip. We painted DS' room, which he's been asking us to do for a year now. Purged a bunch of stuff, organized some stuff. Not too bad.

Three goals for the fall: 1) have good, nutritious meals 5 nights/week at least 2) keep the house clean and continue to purge and keep organized 3) learn to have more patience with DS.

I think we had a good summer. I didn`t get as much as scrapbooking as I wanted but as a family we went to Marineland and a week camping, couple trips to the beach.

I went with the kids to storybook gardens, to the pool miniature golf and splash pads.

We had a nice summer. We didn't plan any big things this year, so I think we did pretty much everything we wanted to. We spent lots of time swimming and had a few beach days. The lake water was warm enough for me to get right in this year We spent lots of time outside at the parks with our playgroup friends. Some fun barbeques, picnics and a weekend of camping.

It went by fast and it was a very good summer.

We did splashpads/parks/ tons of BBQs with family/friends. Beach and beach side ice creams.
Now to send off the summer we are going to African Lion Safari.

We didn't go to the beach once this year!
    I'm sad about that.

We went fishing last night at 6pm cause DH had been promising the boys all summer that he would take them and he realized he was out of time. So much for getting them to bed on time the night before school.
