    Default Why Moms Cry

"Why are you crying?" the little boy asked his Mom.
"Because I'm a mother", she told him.
    "I don't understand", he said.
His mom just hugged him tightly and said, "You never will."
Later the boy asked his father why mom seemed to cry for no reason.
"All mothers cry for no reason," was all his dad could say. He didn't know why either.
The little boy grew up, still wondering why mothers cry, so he finally put a call to God and when he got Him on the line, God said, "You see, when I made mothers, they had to be special. I made their shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of their family. I gave them the inner strength to endure childbirth, raise their little ones and face up to all the pressure that a family can produce. Then I gave them that extra strength to deal with the apparent rejection that eventually comes when their children don't seem to need or want their mom any more."
"I gave them a hardiness that allows them to keep going, even when they would rather give up".
"I gave them the sensitivity to love their children, even when they are not very lovable. This same sensitivity helps them to make a child's boo-boo feel better and helps them share in the anxieties of their teenagers."
"I gave them a tear to shed. It's theirs exclusively to use whenever it's needed. It strengthens them, cleanses them and renews them. It's a tear for their family."

I moved this to the religion section as HARP is new and did not intend for this to be considered an “expert“ article.
